Lurgan is the last remaining DEA in the ABC Council to be decided with the result now finalised for Banbridge DEA.

Only two candidates have been elected so far in Lurgan with Joe Nelson (SDLP) confirmed as a councillor in the new ABC council shortly before 8pm tonight. He joins the DUP’s Carla Lockhart who topped the poll on the first count.

Deciding the remaining seats could be a long and involved process with little to separate the leading contenders for the remaining five seats

Elected in Banbridge are Glenn Barr, Ian Burns, Elizabeth Ingram all UUP, Paul Greenfield & Junior McCrum DUP, Brendan Curran SF & Seamus Doyle SDLP
