Emphatic win for Lurgan Ladies
Naomi Costley had little to do in the Lurgan net thanks to a full team performance of pace and power.
Lurgan’s captain opened the scoring after taking a quick free and got into the circle. She deftly stroked the ball home to the right corner before the defence could react.

Just before half time Julie scored a fantasy goal by weaving her way from her own half through a crowd of defenders. Support runners ran to spaces and Julie exploited a gap to speed into the circle and loft the ball high into the roof of the net.
Lurgan’s work rate ensured that they dominated the second half. Katie Magowan pressurised the sweeper and stole the ball. She delivered to Ellen Mullen who beat the left back and passed into the circle where Emma Quinn picked it up and at extreme range fired home for Lurgan’s forth.
It was a fine performance with even better to come if they spread the ball earlier and finish half chances.
